Milan

In the heart of Milan Design Week, ForA comes to life—a new curatorial format created to break the rules, challenge the industry’s dominant narratives, and give voice to new visions of contemporary design.

ForA, meaning "outside" in Milanese dialect, is more than just an event; it is a temporary pavilion, a gateway to the future of design, a radical space where design is no longer about signatures but about ideas.

Each edition of ForA focuses on a single area of design, exploring it in depth. The first edition will center around seating—an everyday object and a symbol of connection, stillness, and possibility. The selected works challenge conventions and anticipate the needs of a transforming world, highlighting the work of outsiders, students, and young entrepreneurs.

ForA is an invitation to rethink design as a cultural, social, and political practice. It is an open call for those working on the fringes to bring new perspectives to the forefront.
